At Homegrown Initiatives, we know schools need curriculum and professional learning support but may not have funds for a full-time position. That’s why we offer two flexible options: districts can either select specific services as needed or hire us as a part-time consultant for ongoing support. With the second option, districts purchase a set number of hours or days each month, ensuring continuous, affordable expertise. Both approaches provide personalized solutions that strengthen teaching, learning, and long-term sustainability.

Services
We provide tailored services to support district goals, including curriculum audits, program evaluations, and development of guaranteed and viable curricula. Our work focuses on identifying priority standards, creating proficiency scales, and building instructional frameworks. We also provide curriculum writing tools, organized resources, and strategies for effective instruction and assessment, ensuring clear communication with Boards of Education and stakeholders.
CORE Curriculum Writing
At Homegrown Initiatives, we turn data into clear insights that drive action. We create reports on MAP/EOC performance, item analysis, and historical trends, while integrating third-party data for a complete picture. Our services include scorecards, MSIP-6 and CSIP analysis, and stakeholder-ready communication. By transforming complex data into actionable strategies, we empower districts to plan next steps with confidence and improve outcomes for students.

After School Tutoring Programs
Introducing our Curriculum Add-Ons, designed to enhance your experience beyond CORE services. We support districts with Citizen’s Resource Request Review, offering documentation and communication aligned to MSBA policies. Our Curriculum Compliance and Consulting ensures alignment with state requirements while providing tailored guidance, professional development, and ongoing support to meet your unique needs and strengthen educational programs.
Curriculum Add-Ons
We guide districts through curriculum resource adoption with a full evaluation process. Services include RFP support, vendor response management, and organizing presentations and community nights to engage stakeholders. We gather feedback to inform decisions, design tailored professional learning plans, and provide communication strategies for Boards of Education and staff. We also assist with teacher and building resource requests to ensure a smooth, effective adoption.
Curriculum Resource Adoption Process
We help districts maximize funding by providing up-to-date knowledge of grants and state opportunities. Our services include identifying available resources and offering guidance throughout the application and allocation process. By staying current on funding options, we ensure schools have the support they need to secure and manage resources effectively, allowing them to focus on enhancing programs, supporting educators, and improving student outcomes.
District/School Funding Opportunities
We support districts in building MTSS/RTI frameworks that address diverse student needs. Partnering with leadership teams, we develop data-driven models and ensure clear communication. Our services include professional development to equip staff, fostering a positive culture while implementing and monitoring programs. Through ongoing evaluation and strategic planning, we help schools create effective, sustainable systems that improve outcomes and support all learners.
MTSS/RTI Program Support
We support districts with instructional design and course development from start to finish. Services include facilitating goals and needs, auditing current online courses, setting up the LMS, and creating course templates. We provide instructional design training, curriculum documents, and organized Google Drive resources. Additionally, we design engaging courses and conduct program evaluations to identify next steps, ensuring continuous improvement and sustainable success.
Online School and Course Creation
We provide personalized professional development tailored to each school’s needs and goals. Our services include workshops on student motivation and engagement, growth mindset training, and support for Professional Learning Communities. By aligning opportunities with each institution’s challenges, we equip educators with practical tools and strategies. This customized approach fosters effective learning environments, empowers teachers to thrive, and ultimately enhances student success.
Professional Development
We help schools create Reading Success Plans that meet Missouri requirements, including support in selecting and implementing a DESE-approved K–3 screening tool. For grades 4–12, we support additional screening for ongoing difficulties in phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Our goal is to provide comprehensive guidance throughout the reading assessment process, enhancing literacy and ensuring student success across all grade levels.
Reading Success Plans
We help districts develop Strategic Plans and CSIPs through data-driven assessments, measurable goals, and evidence-based strategies. Our process includes monitoring progress, ensuring alignment with state standards, and engaging stakeholders. We emphasize continuous review and guide districts in meeting DESE reporting requirements to maintain accreditation and drive lasting improvement.
Strategic Planning/CSIP Support
We help districts design effective summer school programs tailored to their needs. Our services include identifying goals, developing comprehensive curriculum documents, and organizing Google Drive resources for easy collaboration. We also support transportation and field trip planning while ensuring clear communication with Boards of Education and stakeholders to keep everyone informed and engaged throughout the process.
Summer School Program Creation
At Homegrown Initiatives, we help districts meet professional development requirements for teachers and administrators. We offer tailored programs for new teachers to complete 30 hours in their first year and provide ongoing learning opportunities. For new administrators, we support pathways to meet 120 PD hours (instead of graduate credit). Through coaching and mentorship, we empower educators to thrive and meet DESE standards.
